With homework, quizzes, tests, participation, reports, projects and final exams all weighted differently, calculating your grade for a high-school or college class can be an algebraic challenge. For example, suppose you got an 83 on the midterm, and 91 on class participation. What’s the minimum you need to score on the final to get a 90 in the class if the mid-term is 30%, the final exam 50%, class participation counts toward the balance of your grade?<\/p>\n

But now, of course, there are apps for that!<\/p>\n
