In what is being billed as a major shakeup to Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s ebook business, Google’s eBookstore<\/a> is now open and stocked with more than three million titles. The Google store supports Nook, Sony, Android, and iOS devices, in addition to reading from a Web browser. The books (whether free or paid) are stored and read from the cloud, requiring an active Internet connection.
