Slow Windows Start Up

Slow start ups are the bane of Windows users everywhere. To speed up your computer boot on Windows 98 or XP, select Start/Run/msconfig. Click on the Start Up tab, and uncheck any programs you do not recognize. If you find you’ve removed something essential, you can return to your original settings, by selecting the “Normal Startup” box. Windows 2000 users can download their own copy of msconfig at The Tech Guide.
