Directions:
This craft is to make laced mice and is a good craft for kids of various ages, of course the younger the child the more help they will need.
•The first thing that you need to do is to make a mouse shape. Top do this you are going to need to cut out a heart shape on gray construction paper that is folded in half. Basically what you need to do is to draw out half a heart shape on the paper and then cut that out. This will give you a full heart shape piece of paper to work with.
•Next you are going to need to use a hole punch to make holes all along the outer edge of the mouse. But make sure you do not punch holes on the folded part of the paper.
•Next you are going to use the string to lace the paper together. To do this you are going to lace the string through each hole that you punched starting at the pointed end of the heart.
When lacing you are only going to want to do about ¾ of the heart so that you can stuff it. So after doing about ¾ of the lacing you are going to want to place stuffing inside the heart.
•Now you need to finish lacing the heart all the way to the incurve of the heart and tie it off.
•Then you are going to need to cut off the excess string, but make sure that when cutting the string that you leave a tail
•Finally you need to glue the wiggle eyes and pink pompom to the pointed end of the heart for the mouse’s eyes and nose and you are done.
