This easy to make “scary” Halloween mask gets its start from a paper plate. It is important to keep in mind that safety experts discourage the use of masks with a child’Halloween costume due to impaired visibility and safety risks to the child.
What you will need:
•A paper plate
•Crayons, markers, or tempera paint
•Scissors
•Hole punch
•Green yarn or elastic
•Markers, paint or glitter glue
Directions for the project-First have the child draw a jack-o’-lantern’s face on the back of a paper plate. Then have the child cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth (an adult may have to help with this step).Using markers, paint and glitter glue decorate the rest of the jack-o’lantern. Punch a hole in each side of the mask. Tie a length of green yarn to each side (or use elastic) on the jack-o’-lantern to make the mask wearable.
