When doing your Halloween makeup for a vampire costume, you have to know what kind of vampire you really want to be. The following is a look at the various types of vampires, and how to do your Halloween makeup to achieve that look.
To get this look, you are going to start by putting a white pancake makeup on, or white powder to make yourself pale. Then you are going to use blue, gray, and green shadow to create some discoloration and bruises on the skin. Start with a wet brush and apply blue, then use your finger to apply some gray to the middle, and then a dry brush to add some olive green on the edges, then sponge it together for a blended look. Use makeup pencils to add wounds, scratches, scars, etc. and fake blood running down the chin.
If you want to look like a vampire who just climbed out of a cript, use corn starch on clothes, hair etc. for dust. Then, use a white makeup to make yourself look pale. Use some dark shadow to make some dirt smudges on the face, and use extra brown in your fake blood to make it appear older and more congealed. Extra chocolate syrup works well. Then, of course, apply your blood early enough that it has a chance to dry so you look old.
For this look you will wear long coats, shiny PVC and big boots, but for your makeup you are going to use thick eyeliner, blood red lip stick, and black finger nail polish. You are going to make all of your features really intense, but also sleep at the same time. Use lots of black liner.
This is for the person who wants to be a modern vampire that blends in. So, wear a tux or a long dress, and dust your skin with a shimmer powder or glitter. Then wear bright red lip stick, with a gloss over to make it look more polished. Use black liner, but don’t go really goth, just intense enough to draw notice to the eyes. Skip the vampire teeth. This is the look of the vampire trying to blend in with human society. Just be pale with blood stained lips.
If you want to be a Vampire, first cover face in white makeup or white powder. Then, use a black pencil to outline sharp eyebrows. Use black makeup to fill them in. Outline eyes with a dark liner. Use a brown or reddish pencil to create a “V” in the forehead, and blend it in. Use a blood red lip stain, and use some fake blood to drip down the chin, and fake teeth to complete the look.
