Hurricanes and tornados are scary because they are so powerful and wreak so much destruction. Earthquakes don't bother me because I've experienced them all my life. It is not that something extraordinarily unlikely happens to occur. Or Trump being re-elected POTUS a second time would have to be considered intelligent! Or what are the odds the earth's core should be molten hot while we live comfortably on the outer crust without a problem? Barring some earthquakes and such of course.

I considered Madison, WI, and Austin, TX, but one is too cold in the winter and the other too hot in the summer. Some places are too humid, others too rainy and in others the sun bakes you to a crisp year round. Some places have hurricane risks, others tornado, yet others earthquakes. Some areas have reasonable home prices but tight job markets.
