Blue Crab Festival Palatka, Florida Who would have thought a slimy little crustacean could cause all this hoopla? With crabs boiling, music bopping and libations flowing, Palatka's Blue Crab Festival has established itself as a bona fide North Florida phenomenon. Always Memorial Day Weekend.

I can use as much help as I can get...I have never done any crabbing before but it sounds like so much fun I would really love to try it. My family and I will be staying in Frisco for a week over Memorial Day weekend.

(c) Between 2 hours before sunrise to 9 hours after sunrise on Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, and the day immediately preceding each of those holidays. (4) Crab pots already on board a boat at the end of the time periods specified in §A (1) (c) of this regulation may be set during a period of 1 hour immediately following those time periods.

We're always crabbing Memorial Day weekend. Counting down the days until the cold goes away and we can head south and play.

Crabbed the river on Sunday 5/16. Ran 20 topless traps baited with chicken necks but added chunks of menhaden to kick it up a notch.

I'm going to be in the Calabash NC area over Memorial Day weekend. Looks like a lot of creeks and inlets around there.
