Tripp is seen saying how she saw three presidents come thru. She says something nice that Reagan did (I forget what) then how George W. wrote handwritten letters to all soldiers killed in action and then Bill Clinton had an intern give him a blowjob. Paulson really shows Tripp revulsion of Clinton.

This is the same feeling as when Reagan won, only worse. And that lasted 8 years. And he was not as strategically decisive as Trump. He was very popular with Republcans and had a good sense of humor. But unfortunately fear and hate run much deeper in American society and therefore it last longer and hits harder.

It was a measure so hateful that even Ronald Fucking Reagan came out against it. Anita Bryant deserves no sympathy, no empathy, no reassessment of her career and her motivations. None.

One of his sons defaced a Republican placard or sign at a neighborhood (read: Bel Air, Bev Hills) cookout in the 60s, upsetting some of the Repub attendees including Ronald Reagan. Reagan got mad and started talking retribution, and Kirk stood right up to him telling him to stand down and leave his kid alone.

Is her husband really a Republican? In an interview from a few years ago, I think Belinda said he was a "Reagan Democrat" in the 80s, but is pretty liberal now.

A Year in the Life ran for just one season, 1987-88. A three-episode mini-series preceded it in 1986.
