MO dept. of conservation had this on there wedsite "When asked how a Great Lakes wolf got to Missouri, Beringer noted that wolves from northern states have turned up in Missouri before. The most recent case occurred in 2001. It involved an 80-pound timber wolf killed by a landowner in Grundy County (NE of Kansas City, MO).

Shoot a Muzzleloader a lot.. CVA Pro Hunter and CVA Wolf..Shotgun 209 Primers.. I shoot White Hots.. Powder ..100 Grains, 250 Grain Hornady Bullets.. out to 150 Yards.. Know I can take a White Tail out to 200 Yards no problem.. Probably have more knock Down with 150 Grains of powder.. That being said, Shoot 250 Grain power Belts for practice and They Group even better Than the Hornady Bullets ...

In the early part of the 20th century extensive predator control program basically wiped out the entire red wolf population. Only two populations of red wolf were believe to exist by the late 1930s. One in the Ozarks/Quachita Mountain region of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma and one in southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana.
